Andrew Schulman was the resident musician in the Surgical ICU at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York from 2010-16, then played in the Surgical, Medical, Cardio and Neurosurgical ICUs at NYU Langone Medical Center in 2017. He had a monthly residency at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Massachusetts from 2016 to 2020. He was the consultant to the Therapeutic Music Program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2019 and was a Virtual Artist in their ICUs in 2025.
He is currently the Visiting Artist/Medical Musician with the Arts and Humanities Program at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
In 2017 he became the first musician accepted as a professional member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and has spoken and performed at several national and international SCCM conferences. He is co-director of an SCCM Knowledge Education Group called 'Medical Music in the Critical Care Environment.' In 2018 he founded the Medical Musician Initiative.

Gerard Langlois PAC, FCCM began his health care journey as an EMT in 1983. Upon graduating from PA school in 1988, he furthered his education by completing postgraduate surgical training at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. He spent the next 27 years caring for thoracic and trauma surgical patients. After leaving the Bronx, he spent over a decade at the Detroit Medical Center before acccepting a position at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.
In 2015 he joined the staff at Berkshire Medical Center. His current clinical responsibilities are the care of the surgical ICU patients as well as responding to trauma activations. His clinical interests include the care of the patient with complex chest physiology as well as educating the next generations of healthcare providers.
He is an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine and routinely precept's PA students from Boston University, Westfield State University and Springfield College.
